AS SUSI was established in 1991 and is 100% based on Estonian capital. Initially, the premises of the former Training Centre of Vehicle Transport and Road Ministry were used; the same premises were also the foundation for starting the building of hotel Susi.

The hotel was first opened to the visitors on December 1, 1992, having 42 rooms. In summer 1994, a saloon/restaurant called Green Spider, was established adjacent to the hotel. This establishment sustained the traditions of Estonian burlesque dancing for years. To date, the saloon has been turned into a unique conference centre, where the special interior shall help to make your event unforgettable and unique.

As the result of privatisation process, AS SUSI became the administrator of the buildings of the training centre of the former Vehicle Transport and Road Ministry. This helps to develop and expand the business. In

1997, Susi`s Office Centre was opened in one wing of the building at Peterburi tee 46 while Susi´s Shopping Centre opened its doors in the other wing in 2000. The latter offers a variety of active recreation and leisure goods. In 2003, the Office Centre was extended considerable and today, the useful surface are of the establishment totals to 9,000 m2. In 1997, renovation and extension of the hotel was also started.

On June 13, 1998, additional floors with hotel rooms, restaurant complex, beauty parlour and massage centre were opened. Today, there are 99 rooms in Hotel Susi; our hotel can boast with three stars as of the beginning of 1999. In spring 1996, the Chairman of Board of AS SUSI, Mr. Jüri Uppin, initiated a meeting that established the Foundation of St. George`s Night Park. The main purpose of the Foundation was to find support and means for the establishment, maintenance and development of St. George´s Night Park. The territory of the park is the place where one of the most important events in the history of ancient Estonians fight for liberty – the main battle in St. George`s Night uprising – took place.
